The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD), in collaboration with the Asian Dignity Initiative (ADI), has concluded its signature petition campaign to safeguard Tibetan refugee rights in Nepal on 13 March 2024. The meticulously drafted letters signed by 704 signatories have been submitted via post and electronic correspondence to the relevant entities, including the Chinese government, the Nepalese government, and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner.

These letters convey profound concerns and recommendations articulated by TCHRD and ADI. The primary aim of the petition is to amplify a unified and resounding voice, advocating fervently for the preservation and assertion of the inherent rights and dignities of Tibetan refugees in Nepal.

This joint effort, a poignant call to attention, urgently sheds light on the pressing human rights issues confronting Tibetan refugees in Nepal. Through this appeal, we earnestly implore substantive and productive measures to be undertaken with due consideration to the fundamental rights and freedom of the Tibetan refugees in Nepal.
